I have to say the way the fixtures have been formed this season is an absolute disgrace. We have been drip fed them since day one, and even then we only had about 7-10 days to prepare for our first fixture. Each team has reasons from needing to know fixtures in advance. Some have youth teams, some are playing in the Premier League. Many teams, if not all share their pitch with other teams so need to book the pitch in advance to be able to use it! Others would simply like to know when they have weekends off so that they can plan to do something other than play football. It is unfair on teams, their coaches/managers and individual players. How hard is it to compile a list of fixtures for the entire season in August?!? It doesn't take a genius to work it out. There are 11 teams in the league so each team has 20 matches to play. And then just put aside set weekends for the two cups. Anyway I would strongly suggest that next season the fixtures are done well in advance of the start of the season.

The FAW Women's Cup Final will be contested by two teams from the Capital City, as UWIC and Cardiff City Ladies both won 3-1 against Trefelin and Swansea City Ladies respectively on Sunday.
Back-to-back matches were played at Afan Lido at 12 noon between Welsh Premier Women's League rivals Trefelin and UWIC, which was followed just up the orad at 3pm between the current Champions Swansea City and English Premier League team Cardiff City at Port Talbot.
The two matches provided a great opportunity for Wales Women's Team manager Jarmo Matikainen to watch both games as he was on the lookout for some more potential Welsh stars.
The conference date for the Final is Saturday 22nd April 2012 and the venue is yet to be confirmed.
